As a speaker, Michael has delivered hundreds of invited presentations to audiences on four continents. He has received the top earned designation in the speaking profession: Certified Speaking Professional.
As a writer, Michael has published over 400 blogs with ready-to-apply concepts, practices and tools. His first book, Ruthless Consistency: How Committed Leaders Execute Strategy, Implement Change and Build Organizations That Win, will be published in 2020 by McGraw-Hill.
As a volunteer, Michael has served as a board member or advisor to numerous not-for-profit organizations. He has a particular interest in mentoring early-career professionals.
Michael has a PhD in the Psychology of Human Performance from the University of British Columbia (UBC). He was captain and Most Inspirational Player on UBC’s football team, and later helped coach the team to a national championship.
An adventure traveler, Michael and wife Bernadine have traveled to more than 40 countries. He has journeyed by camel in the Sahara, trekked the mountains of Northern Pakistan, and canoed in the Amazon. Be sure to ask him about swimming with piranha.
