Todd Cherches is the CEO and cofounder of BigBlueGumball, an innovative New York City-based management consulting firm specializing in executive coaching, leadership development, team building, and public speaking.
He is also a Founding Partner of the Global Institute For Thought Leadership (“GIFT”), a TEDx speaker, a certified Vistage speaker, and a member of the National Speakers Association.
Todd is the author of VisuaLeadership: Leveraging the Power of Visual Thinking in Leadership and in Life (Post Hill Press/Simon & Schuster, 2020), which was named by Thinkers360 as one of the “Top 50 Business Books to Read in 2021.”
Additionally, Todd is a three-time award-winning Adjunct Professor of leadership at the NYU School of Professional Studies, in their Division of Programs in Business, where he teaches the top-rated graduate course “Leadership & Team Building” in their Human Capital Management master’s degree program. He is also a Lecturer on leadership in a number of graduate programs at Columbia University, including their Strategic Communication master’s program, and in their MFA Theater program where he teaches leadership for Broadway stage managers.
Todd is most known for his innovative and patented VisuaLeadership® methodology which leverages the power of visual thinking and visual communication to help his coaching clients, and his students, to maximize their performance, their productivity, and their potential through the use of his “Four Ways to Think More Visually: Visual imagery & Drawing; Mental Models & Frameworks; Metaphor & Analogy; and Visual Storytelling & Humor.
Before launching his company BigBlueGumball in 2010, Todd was the founder and head of the Liquidnet Leadership Institute for three years where he designed and delivered a wide variety of cutting-edge management, leadership, and coaching programs for the industry-leading global financial services firm Liquidnet.
Prior to entering the leadership and coaching field, Todd’s unique and unconventional career background spanned the following industries (in chronological order): Newspapers (Newsday); television news (NBC News); media and advertising (Ogilvy & Mather); tv production (Aaron Spelling Productions); casting (Columbia Pictures Television); comedy program development (Disney); drama program development (CBS); and theme park project management (Sequoia Creative, Showscan Entertainment).
With over 30 years of international business experience, Todd’s consulting, training, and coaching background includes associations with such top-tier global professional services firms as the American Management Association, Dale Carnegie Training, and the London-based Centre for High Performance Development.
Todd holds a Master of Arts degree in organizational and interpersonal communication, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature (magna cum laude) with a concentration in Shakespeare and poetry, from the State University of New York at Albany.
